Advantages and Disadvantages of Plasma TV and LCD TV

There are 2 most common types of televisions that you and I might have heard of already. They are the Plasma TVs and LCD TVs. Let's find out each of their advantages and disadvantages to people so it's time to buy a TV for your home, you basically know which one to go for.
Plasma TV
Advantages:
- Comes in slim model
- Produces deep, true blacks allowing for superior contrast ratios
- Does not produce motion blurs
Disadvantages:
- They are older thus, more prone to image retention
- They are bulky since do not come in smaller sizes
- Definitely heavier than LCD due to the necessity to have the glass screen to hold the gases
- Uses more electricity
LCD TV
Advantages:
- LCD TVs have higher brightness level therefore, generally easier to watch
- Multi-functional. Can be used as Home Video player, Computer monitor, & HDTV
- Longer lifespan up to 30 years
- LCD TVs are lighter than Plasma TVs
- LCD TVs display sharper images because of the higher level of brightness
Disadvantages:
- Does not have a fast refreshing rate thus, your viewing experience can significantly diminish
- Most LCD units have a difficulty going fully black because they are displaying through the LCD panel.
- With no name LCDs, pixel failure is a common problem
- Very expensive than the usual TV. There may be cheaper LCDs units with no names but tend to have poor image quality.
